Anderson Ambroise is one of the hidden treasures of Haiti. His artistic skills and devotion are beyond stellar when it comes to expression. Below is the latest piece from the artist, which he painted live at the "Bwa Kayiman 2016 ceremony" in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

During a sit-down with Haitian artists Anderson Ambroise, the artist stated that, "I am an artist by blood. I can't help it! No matter what happens in life, I will die as an artist. Also, every where I am, I will always represent where I am from, Haiti, because Haiti is my everything and I will never forget that I am African ".

With his art center mostly around the spiritual, social and economic aspects of the Haitian-African culture, Ambroise hopes that his work will be a reference for development. A development that begins with youth education and formation.

When asked about his "Bwa Kayiman 1791" Painting, Ambroise responds, "Bwa Kayiman is us [Haitians], because this is the night that the slaves united to initiate the revolution in 1791. With my paintings, I take a more spiritual aspects, where I tend to focus on symbols". So, for the past three years, Ambroise has made it a tradition to create a "Bwa Kayiman" painting to acknowledge the Haitian revolution of 1791.

Ambroise encourages innovation through the youth of his community by holding artistic workshops that he and other members of KOLAJ: Kolektif Atis Jakmel, which is a collective group of artists, conducted in Jacmel, Haiti. When he started traveling outside of the country, he never stopped his mission towards the youth.

Professionally, Ambroise traveled as a representative of Jacmel, Haiti to other international cities such as Havana, Cuba; Gainesville,Florida; and to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Ambroise continues to exhibit and sell his art internationally and participates in art festivals.

In addition to the fine arts, Ambroise has also designed logos for Timberland and Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Foundation by winning a competition held by Timberland in 2009. His logos were placed on the t-shirts that Timberland dedicated to the earthquake fundraising.

Anderson Ambroise continues to work independently as an artist residing now in New York City. His aim is to experience as much as cultural exchange in this great melting pot. He truly believes that New York City has truly influenced him as a creative person, and he is anticipating to come back to the artistic scene by Fall 2016.

KZ PROMO INC will be collaborating with Anderson Ambroise for the year 2017, so stay tune!
