Therefore, music allows us to connect to our ancestors, and it allows us to know that they are still roaming the land. Healing (Gaya) is what we yearn.
Music heals! Michael Brun just added a new Haitian heat to his already growing media playlist with the release of “Gaya” (Healing) featuring his musical partners Lakou Mizik and J. Perry. The song is traditional to Haiti as the country holds a yearly carnival festival in February.
The video is very powerful as it depicts the aspect of unity, which is the emblem of Haiti "L'Union Fait La Force" (Unity Strengthens). Michael has been able to captivate the masses and represent for the youth as their newly found leader.
The sonic experience of this song is so powerful that it is timeless. People will be in tune for generations to come.
